I've label this explicit because of the subject matter and not because of the language. If you're looking to hear my swear, you will have to keep waiting. The :01 First Second book Johanna couldn't remember is Kampung Boy http://us.macmillan.com/kampungboy Here is the introductory page for the June Manhwa Moveable Feast http://manhwa.mangabookshelf.com/2010/06/21/mmf-an-introduction-to-the-color-trilogy/ Melinda's page will also serve as the hub where links to all reviews are posted. So keep checking back daily for new reviews. Here is a link to Johanna's review of The Color Trilogy http://comicsworthreading.com/2009/12/02/the-color-of-earth-the-color-of-water-the-color-of-heaven/ Here is the link to :01 First Second Books http://www.firstsecondbooks.com/ Here is a link to a preview of The Color Of Earth http://us.macmillan.com/BookCustomPage.aspx?isbn=1596434589&m_type=7
Because an insanely persistant spammer, I had to turn on comment moderation. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please leave feedback. By the way, yes, I am still a prude.

This podcast was recorded on Saturday May 28th. This was before Vertical and Dark Horse announced they good news of their first quarter sales being up and before ICv2 showed that manga held 14 out of the top 20 places for graphic novel sales according to Bookscan.

Ferris Bueller said, “Life moves pretty fast.” And that was before internet! A week to the day that I published this podcast, the Japanese and American publishers have formed a coalition to fight scanlation sites. So I’m not sure how much of this conversation will be relevant in the coming days. There is a lot of talk and speculation about what this new coalition means. For now, I’m going to sit back and watch events unfold for awhile before venturing an opinion. And wait even longer before venturing a public opinion. So please go read the news story at Publisher’s Weekly at http://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/digital/copyright/article/43437-japanese-u-s-manga-publishers-unite-to-fight-scanlations.html You can read Viz’s official press release here: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2010-06-08/multi-national-manga-anti-piracy-coalition-formed
